Dr. Furey Joins @thekicksshrink Dr. Sulman Mirza on “Psychiatry Unboxed”

I was also featured on a recent episode of the hit podcast “Psychiatry Unboxed” with Dr. Sulman Mirza to discuss women’s  mental health. In case you’re unfamiliar, Dr. Mirza is a triple board certified adult, child and adolescent, and addiction psychiatrist who is known online as @thekicksshrink. With >100,000 subscribers across various social media accounts, he uses his platforms to spread accurate mental health information in an entertaining way. This was a really fun and engaging conversation all about women’s mental health including the differences between various postpartum mental health conditions, discussion about zuranolone (Zurzuvae), the new FDA approved oral treatment for postpartum depression, and some background information about my own experiences with sexism during my medical training.
