Dr. Furey Commemorates Maternal Mental Health at the State Capitol

My colleague Dr. Jennifer McMahon and I attended an event at the Connecticut State Capitol on Thursday, May 2, 2024 to commemorate Maternal Mental Health month. This year, legislation was passed to proclaim the month of May of each year to be Maternal Mental Health Month and May fifth of each year to be Maternal Mental Health Day to raise awareness of issues surrounding maternal mental health. I had a great time on behalf of Access Mental Healths for Moms and my private practice meeting other providers in the community advocating for maternal mental health.
